Ride the Night 2017
On Sat, Jan 28th 2017, the LightARC cycling team will be Riding the Night alongside thousands of others to help brighten the future of Australia’s most disadvantaged youth. It’s an awesome 64kms bike ride around Melbourne’s most iconic landmarks at night, stopping along the way for rest, fuel, fun and more.
We would love for everyone to come along and get involved (you can join our team here: LightARC Team Page) or if you aren’t up for the challenge, it would be great if you could sponsor us by making a donation on our team page. It’s a great cause – every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive.
Ride the Night was established to help youth support agencies such as Youth Support + Advocacy Service (YSAS) continue to brighten the future of young people experiencing serious disadvantage across Australia. They do this through an army of youth workers who dedicate time to young people, walking alongside them to help them realise their opportunity to thrive.
From overcoming mental health issues and the impact of abuse and neglect, to finding housing and tackling drug and alcohol problems, YSAS provides access to the resources and support young people require to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.
Every young person deserves the opportunity to feel valued, included and have every opportunity to thrive. And, every dollar raised through Ride the Night brings us one step closer to that vision.
